I’ve really enjoyed it mostly because it has a lot of great shows (Sopranos, Chernobyl, Rick and Morty, etc), and although the app itself is average in quality, the content is definitely worth the price (although it is a bit expensive).
Lag time loading, lag time starting a movie, lag time, lag time lag time!
It is the worst streaming movie app ever. Fire the team and hire folks from apple or Netflix!
Hbo max app downloaded from google play store DOES NOT WORK. It will play for 10 min than say error code 321. I tried it with a zte blade prime phone to chromecast and a lg journey to chromecast on 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz, always the same, error code 321. It worked fine for the 1 week free trial. Screw these pay for apps. Im going back to torrenting, if its copyright infringement or video piracey, so be it. Its 2020, it aint like they cant find me. THE HBO MAX APP DOESNT WORK. IT DOES WORK GETTING HBO MAX THRU AMAZON PRIME. ALSO HBO MAX CLAIMS TO HAVE MORE CONTENT THAN HBO NOW, PURE BULL$#*!. IVE DONE SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON, THE HBO ON AMAZON PRIME HAS MORE CONTENT.
Was not thrilled with HBO Max. I got it as a free trial with AT&T and thought I would try it out. The HBO content is good (as already known), but I had issues with the trial and contacted customer support. I was completely unable to contact anyone by phone and chat was the only available option. I used the chat feature and am convinced I was talking to a bot. The person was completely un-personable and continued to try and suggest shows to watch (as if I didn't actually have a problem I was trying to fix), how frustrating!
They were ultimately not able to help me, and the person said they would send my issue up to the "Specialized service team". They got back to me (10 days later!) and still absolutely useless. Again seemed like a bot. Form email saying they are sorry they couldn't help but that's the best they can do. I responded and got another... wait for it... IDENTICAL form email saying why they couldn't fix it. No offer to call me and discuss the issue. No offer to make it right. Just goodbye we cancelled your subscription?
I could not believe they are willing to lose a possible long-term customer (with repeated $14.99 payments!) over a simple issue that could have been resolved. AWFUL customer service!
Take my advice because when you do encounter a problem, you will get nowhere! Stick to Netflix and Hulu and Disney +!

Yes. Hbo on Amazon actually works, DONT GET HBO MAX.

It takes 5 min, the girl i talked with knew nothing. NO HELP AT ALL

Very very hard... Could not call, only chat. And chat was completely slow to respond and sounded like a bot. Service sucks!
